Have you tested rough//tumble at all? It has the advantage of pantsing Maverick while leaving your creatures intact (barring a 1/1 mongoose). In a pinch if the game goes super long against miracle, I’ve seen it used to take down a pile of angel tokens and a Baneslayer.
